Section 59: Cost of Water

The Uttar Pradesh Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1975State Act of Uttar Pradesh · Act 43 of 1975

(1)- A Jal Sansthan shall, by notification in the Gazette, fix the cost of water to be supplied by it according to its volume, and also the minimum cost to be charged in respect of each connection.

(2)- A Jal Sansthan may, in lieu of charging the cost of water according to volume, accept a fixed sum for a specified period on the basis of expected consumption of water during that period.
