Section 18: Resignation of members and nomination in certain circumstances

(1) A member of the committee may resign from his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Chairman. The resignation shall take effect from the date on which it is accepted by the Chairman with the prior approval of the Managing Director. (2) The State Government may, by notification, nominate persons from the respective category of members to fill the vacancies of the members who have resigned and the persons so nominated shall hold office for remainder of the term of the committee
