(1) From the date of publication of the notification of suppression of the Committee under section 75, all the members, including the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman, or the Committee shall be deemed to have vacated their offices. (2) The State Government shall direct that steps be taken for constitution of a new Committee under section 17, and till such time, as a new Committee under section 17 is constituted as aforesaid, the Board shall make such arrangements for carrying out the functions of the Committee, as it may deem fit, and may, for that purpose, direct that all the functions, powers and duties of the Committee, and its Chairman under this Act, shall be performed, exercised and discharged by such person or authority, as the Board may appoint in this behalf, and such person or authority shall be deemed to be Chairman of the Committee, or as the case may be.
