Section 19: Appointment, powers and duties of Secretary

(1) The Secretary shall be appointed by the State Government upon such conditions and for such period as prescribed in the rules. (2) The Secretary shall, subject to the control of the Board, be the administrative officer of the Board. He shall be responsible for the presentation of the annual estimates and statement of accounts. (3) He shall be responsible for seeing that all moneys are expended on the purpose for which they are granted or allotted. (4) He shall be responsible for keeping the minutes of the Board. (5) He shall exercise such powers as are necessary for the conduct of the examinations. (6) He shall exercise such other powers and discharge functions as may be prescribed by the regulations.
