The Uttar Pradesh Industrial Undertaking (Special Provisions for Prevention of Unemployment) Act, 1966State Act of Uttarakhand · Act 25 of 1966

(1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Undertakings (Special Provisions for Prevention of Unemployment) Act, 1966.

(2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh.

Definitions 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires-

(a) "industry" means any business, trade, undertaking, manufacture, or calling of employers, and includes any calling, service, employment, handicraft, or industrial occupation or avocation of workmen, and the word "industrial” shall be construed accordingly ;.

(b) "relief undertaking" means an industrial undertaking, in respect of which a declaration under section 3 is in force.
