Section 26: Rightofvote

The Uttarakhand Waqf Rules 2017State Rules of Uttarakhand · 1995

(1) Voting is to be in person.

(2) All electors voting at an election shall do so in person at the polling station provided for them under these rules.

(3) Counting shall be arranged at the end of the polling for the election of each category of members specifiedin clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 14 of the Act.

(4) The Returning Officer shall provideat each polling station, sufficient number of ballot boxes, together with copies of the electoral roll containing the names of electors entitled to vote .

and such other papers and articles necessary for electors to mark the ballot papers, stationery and forms, as may be necessary.

(5) Immediately before the commencemerrt of the poll, the Returning Officer shall demonstrate to the candidates or their polling agents that the ballot box is empty.
