Section 2: Definitions

Vanaspati Grading and Marking Rules, 1990Central Rules · 1937

In these rules unless the context otherwise requires-

(1)“Agricultural Marketing Adviser” means the Agricultural Marketing Adviser to the Government of India;

(2)“Authorised Packer’ means a person or a body of persons who has been granted a certificate of authorisation to grade and mark the commodity in accordance with the grade standards and procedure prescribed under these rules;

(3)“Certificate of Authorisation” means a certificate issued under the General Grading and Marking Rules, 1988, authorizing a person of a body or persons to grade and marks the commodity with the grade designation mark ;

(4)“Schedule” means a Schedule appended to these rules.

(5)“Vanaspati” means refined edible Vegetable oils to process of modification including hydro generation and meant for human consumption.
