The West Bengal Acupuncture System Of Therapy Act, 1996State Act of West Bengal · Act 8 of 1996

(1) Subject to the provisions of section 9, the term of office of the members nominated or elected under section 4 or section 5 shall be for four years commencing from the date of the first meeting of the Council after its first constitution or any subsequent periodical reconstitution, as the case may be.

(2) The term of four years referred to in sub-section (1) shall be held to include any period which may elapse between the expiry of the said period of four years and the date of the first meeting of the Council following its reconstitution at which a quorum is present.

Resignation. 11. The President, the Vice-President or a member may resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the State Government, of which he shall send a copy to the Council.
