West Bengal Act XX of 1950 THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION ACT, 1950. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 31st March, 1950.] An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal to the service of the year ending on the thirty first day of March, 1951. WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal to the service of the year ending on the thirty first day of March, 1951; It is hereby enacted as follows:-

1. (1) This ,Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation Act, 1950.

(2) This Act shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 1950.

2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of Rupees fifty four crores thirty eight lakhs sixty six thousand and seven hundred towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty first day of March, 1951, in respect of the services specified in column 2 of the Schedule.

3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty first day of March, 1951.
