The Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 1972State Act of West Bengal · Act 11 of 1972
(1) The Metropolitan Authority may appoint a whole-time Secretary and such other staff as it may think fit for the exercise of its powers and discharge of its functions under this Act.
(2) Every expenditure incurred by the Metropolitan Authority, including the expenditure incurred by it for meeting the salaries and allowances of the staff employed by it, shall be defrayed out of the Funds of the Metropolitan Authority.
