(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Registration Act, 16 of 1908.
1908 it shall not be necessary for a Trustee or for any officer of a cooperative land development bank or central co-operative bank or primary co-operative credit society or central co-operative land development bank or apex housing society or of any such class of co-operative societies as may be prescribed to appear in person or by agent at any registration office in any proceeding connected with the registration of any instrument executed by him in his official capacity or to sign as provided in section 58 of that Act.
(2) Where any such instrument is presented for registration, the registering officer may, if he thinks fit, refer to the Trustee or to the officer as aforesaid for any information relating thereto and, on being satisfied about the execution thereof, shall register such instrument.
