The West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 1983State Act of West Bengal · Act 45 of 1983

(1) Every co-operative society shall be required to be affiliated to Affiliation to the State Co-operative Union or the district co-operative union, as may be State and Regional prescribed, on payment of the prescribed affiliation fee or periodical fee or Co-operative subscription. Unions.

(2) Non-compliance with the provisions of sub-section (1) shall be punishable with such penalty, not exceeding five hundred rupees, as may be prescribed.
