NOTIFICATION o. 825-SW dt 25.03.2008- In exercise of the power conferred by sub-scetion (l), read ith clause (a) of sub-section(2), of section 15 of the West Bengal Commission for · 1orneo Act,1992 (West Ben.Act XH of 1992), the Governor is pleased hereby to make e following· arnendmenr inu the West Bengal Commission for Women (Salaries, _- l10w::mc1.;s and other conditions of service oL:,e Chairperson, the Vice-chairperson and tue Members) Ruks, 1998, published vide •. Department notification No. 1291­ W/WO/W-5/95(pt), dated 16 April,199y, as subsequently amended (hereinafter 1 -ferrd was the said rules):- Amendments t rnk fofthc said rules,-

(1) for sub-rule 2), substitute the following sub-ruk:- "(2) The Chairperson, the Vice-clrnirpc:rson or a lviembcr, other them the Member-secretary, shall hold office as such for a term of three years from the date onwhich he enters upon his office or until he attains the age of seventy years, whichever is earlier.";

(2) for sub-rule 3) substitute the following~ 1.'b-rnle:- "(3) Notwithstanding anything contied in sub-rule (2), ­

(a) a person, who has held the office of the Chairperson or Vice­ : Chairperson, shall be e.ligible for re-nomination for a further term of three years;

(b) a person, who has held the office of the Member, shall be eligible for re­ rioiniiation as Member, or nomination as Chairpersri orVice­ Chairperson, for a further term llf three vems:

Provided hat the Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson or a 1'vfomber shall not be eligible for re-nomination for more than two terms and that in any case he shall not be eligible to hold. office as such beyond the age of seventy years;

Provided further that a person, wk.o has held office of the Commission in any capacity, except ·as lvfombehsecretary, for three terms shall not be eligible for re-nomination-· as the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson or a Membt::r.''.

i i No. 9209-SW SW/0/1 W-5/95 (Pt) \_ Government ofWest Bengal Dept. ofW C Dev and Social Welfare Writers' Buildings, Kolkata- 700 001 NOTIFICATION Date : 11.11.2010 In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1), read with clause (a) of sub­ section (2) of section 15 of the West Bengal Commission for women Act, 1992 (West Bengal Act XII of 1992), the Governor is pleased hereby to make, with immediate effect, the following amendments in the West Bengal Commission for women (salaries allowances and other conditions of service of the Chairperson, the Vice Chairperson and the Members) Rules, 1998, published vide this Deptt's notification No. 1291-SW/ SW/0/1W-05/95 (Pt), dated 16 April, 1999 as subsequently amended (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) :

Amendment In sub rule ( 1) of rule 3 of the said rules, ­

(a) for the words and figures "rupees 200 per sitting, subject to a maximum of rupees 1500 per month", substitute the words and figures "rupees 400 per sitting, subject to a maximum of rupees 5,000 per month", and ·­

(b) for the words and figures, "rupees 150 per sitting, subject to a maximum of rupees.
