(1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Electri city (Emergency Powe1·s) Act, 1948.
(2) It extends to the whole of the Province of W'!st Bengal.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Provincial Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. co
(4) It shall remain in force for a period of three years :from the date of its commencement.
