Section 2: Definition)

The West Bengal Fire Services ( Fire Prevention And Fire Safety) Rules, 2003State Rules of West Bengal · 1950

(I) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,—

(a) "Act" means the West Bengal Fire Services Act, 1950 (West Ben. Act XVIII of 1950);

(b) "appeal" means an appeal under section 111, read with section 38;

(c) "appellate authority" means the authority referred to in sub-section (I) of Section III and sub-section

(2) of Section 38;

(d) "Form" means a form appended to these odes 165 166 THE KOLKATA GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, JUNE 19, 2003 [PA1

(e) 'license" means the license granted to a person or association of persons to act as a licensed agency;

(0 "section" means a section of the Act.

(2) The words and expressions used and not defined in these rules but defined in the Act shall have the meanings as respectively assigned to them in the Act.
