The Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Act, 2011State Act of West Bengal · Act 20 of 2011

(1) The Gorkhaland Territorial Administration shall have a Sabha to be called the GorkhalandTerritorialAdministration Sabha consisting of fifty Members, excluding ex officio members mentioned in sub-section (3), of whom forty-five shall be elected on the basis of adult suffrage, from the territorial constituencies referred to in section 6 and five shall be nominated by the Governor.

(2) The Members to be nominated under sub-section (1) by the Governor may include due representation of minorities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and women.

(3) The Members of Parliament, the Members of the Legislative Assembly and the Chairpersons of the Municipalities of the region shall be ex officio Members of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Sabha:

Provided that they shall not have the right to vote.
