1. Every contract for erection and/ or maintenance of a Lift or Escalator or Travelator undertaken by the holder of this certificate ofregistration shall be in writing and the holder thereofshall be responsible for the proper erection and/ or maintenance of the Lift and /or Escalator or Travelator and its installation for which the contract has been made.
2. The. report ofthe periodical inspection and tests of the Lift or Escalator or Travelator and its installation shall be recorded in a register to be maintained for the purpose by the holder of the certificate of registration and. every such report shall be duly signed and dated by the person making the inspection and tests.
The reports shall contain sufficient details so as to give a clear indication of the condition of the important component parts ofthe Lift or Escalator or Travelator installation and oftheir fitness for safe working ofthe Lift and /or Escalator or Travelator. Ifrequired by the Inspector ofLifts, such reports shall be kept in a form approved by him for the purpose.
56 THEKOLKATAGAZETIE, EXTRAORDINARY, NOVEMBER 11, 2022 [PARrI If as results of inspection and tests, any defects or breach ofRules, as may affect the safe working of the Lift or Escalator or Travelator, is found in the Lift or Escalator orTravelator installation, the owner or agent, thereofshall be intimated forthwith about the same by holder ofthe certificate ofregistration and a copy ofsuch intimation shall also be forwarded to the Inspector of Lifts.
3. The holder of this certificate of registration shall maintain a register oftechnical personnel employee by him for erection and/ ormaintenance ofLifts or Escalator or Travelator and the register shall be produced for inspection on demand by an Inspector ofLifts or by other person authorized by him in this behalf.
4. Any change in the address of the place of business of the holder of this certificate of registration shall be communicated to the Member-Secretary within two weeks of such change. Any change of agent or manager, if any, shall be similarly notified.
