The West Bengal Maritime Board Act, 2000State Act of West Bengal · Act 30 of 2000

(1) In case there is a dispute or disagreement as to the rates fixed under this Act between the Board and any person entrusted with the operation and management of the port or any of its services or works, such dispute shall be referred, by either of the parties, to the State Government and the State Government may, by order, after considering the representations of the parties and, if necessary, after giving the parties an opportunity of being heard, direct the Board to cancel or to modify the rates as it may think fit.

(2) The order of the State Government under sub-section (1) to cancel or to modify the rates shall be published by the State Government in the Official Gazette and, on such publication, shall have effect from the date mentioned in the said order.
