The West Bengal Primary Education Act, 1973State Act of West Bengal · Act 43 of 1973

(1) No member of a Primary School Council shall vote on any matter in which he has any personal or pecuniary, interest or if it relates to any primary school of which he is either a teacher or a member of the managing committee.

(2) The Chairman or the Vice-Chairman or the member presiding at a meeting of a Primary School Council shall decide any question arising under sub-section (1) and his decision thereon shall be final.

52. The State Government may, by notification, remove the Removal.

Chairman, Vice-Chairman or a member of a Primary School Council, if he—

(a) refuses to act or becomes incapable of acting as Chairman, Vice-Chairman or member of the Primary School Council;

Or

(b) acts in a manner prejudicial to the interest of the Primary School Council; or

(c) without obtaining the consent of the Primary School Council is absent from six consecutive meetings of the Primary School Council:

Provided that before such removal the Chairman, the Vice- Chairman or the member concerned shall be given an opportunity of being heard.
