(1) The State Government may, after such enquiry as it may consider necessary, sanction with or without modification the scheme submitted under section 79 and the scheme so sanctioned shall be published by notification and shall come into force from such date as may be specified by the State Government in the notification.
(2) Every scheme of free and compulsory education sanctioned under the West Bengal Urban Primary Education Act, 1963, and in West Ben.
force in any area immediately before the coming into force of this Act A0feit9x6X3 VD1 in such area shall, unless otherwise directed by the State Government, be deemed to be a scheme sanctioned under this Act.
Modifica- 82. (1) A scheme sanctioned under section 81 may, from time to tion, tiond etc., of time, be modified by the State Government or, with the approval of the sanc scheme. State Government, by the Primary School Council having jurisdiction over the area covered by the scheme and when a scheme is so modified, the modified scheme with reasons for making the modification shall be published by notification.
(2) The State Government may by order in writing stating the reasons for so doing temporarily suspend a sanctioned scheme.

(3) When a sanctioned scheme is temporarily suspended by an order under sub-section (2), the State Government shall give the Primary School Council concerned an opportunity of stating its views on the order and after considering the views of the Primary School Council the State Government may revoke the order temporarily suspending the scheme, or withdraw the scheme and direct the Primary School Council to prepare a fresh scheme.
