(1) These rules may be called the West Bengal Private Security Agencies (Regulations) Rules, 2024,
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2, Definitions. — (1) In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,
(a) “Act” means the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 (29 of 2005);
(b) “Agency” means the Private Security Agency:
2 (c) "Controlling Authority" shall have the same meaning as assigned to tf in clause (b) of section 2 of the Act,
(d) "Form" means. a Form appended to these rules and meludes a digulal version of it:

(2) Words and expressions not defined mm these rules but defined in the Act, stall have the same meaning respectively assigned lo them in the Act
