(1) Any person who contravenes the provisions of section 3 or section 4 shall be punishable with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees.
(2) Any rearer who contravenes the provisions of section 7 or clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 8 shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.

(3) Any person who contravenes the provisions of clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 8 or sub-section (2) of that section shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both.
(4) Any person who contravenes the provisions of section 10 shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees:
Provided that in the absence of special reasons to the contrary, such imprisonment shall not be for a term of less than six months and such fine shall not be for an amount of less than one thousand rupees.
(5) Any person who contravenes the provisions of section 9 shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
(6) Save as otherwise provided in sub-sections (1) to (5), any person who contravenes any of the provisions of this Act or of any rule or order made or notification issued thereunder shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
16. Whoever abets any offence punishable under this Act shall be Abetment.
