Section 18

The West Bengal Urban Land Taxation Act, 1976State Act of West Bengal · Act 8 of 1976

(1) Any person who intends to change the use of any land or building shall apply to the Commissioner in such manner as may be prescribed, for the assessment of conversion charge payable in respect of such change of use.

(2) The Commissioner shall, on such application being made, or when no such application is made, after allowing reasonable opportunity to the person concerned of being heard determine the conversion charge, if any, payable under this Act.
