(1) The powers, duties and functions of the officers referred to in sub-section (1) of section 3 shall be such as are mentioned in this Act or as may be prescribed.

(2) All officers referred to in clauses (a), (b), (a) and (d) of sub-section (1) of section 3 shall be deemed to be public servants, within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian onal Code.
