Section 9: Period of notice for termination or resignation

(1) A whole-time member or a parttime member, as the case may be, who is not a servant of the Government, may resign the office by giving notice in writing of not less than 30 days to the Central Government.

(2) The Central Government may terminate the appointment of a whole-time member and or a part-time member, as the case may be, who is not a servant of the Government, after giving him a notice of not less than 30 days.
