(1) The Administrator may, after previus publication by notification, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Regulation
(2) In particular, and withont prejudice to he generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:—
(a) the register of establishment to t-e maintained in pursuance of clause (2/) of section 2;
(b) the form for applying to the Rezistering Officer for registration under subsection (2) of section 4;
(¢) the other particulars under clause (f) of sub-section (3) of section 4;
() the manner of making entries ir. the register of establishment and the form of issuing a registration certificate under siib-section (4) of section 4;
() the form for applying to the {iegistering Officer under sub-section (7) of section 4;
(f) the form in which any changz in respect of any particulars be intimated under sub-section (/) of section 5;
(g) the condition and manner for computing the cash equivalent of advantage “under sub-section (2) of section 8; .
* (h) the registers, records and » otices to be examined under clause (b) of section 23;
(i) other powers of an Inspector nder clause (c) of section 23;
(/) the registers and records to b:: maintained and notices to be displayed under sub-section (/) of section 29;
(k) any other matter which is recuired to be, or may be, prescribed.
(3) Every rule made by the Administra or under this Regulation shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made, before each House of Parliament, while it is in session, for a total period of thirty days which may be compri sed in one session or in two or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the s ssion immediately following the session or the successive sessions aforesaid, both Houses agree in making any modification in the rule or both Houses agree that the rule should not i ¢ made, the rule shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect. 4s the case may be; so, however, that any such modification or annulment shall be withou - prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under that rule.
35. (/) [fany difficulty arises in giv-ng effect to the provisions of this Regulation, the Administrator may, by order, published 11 the Andaman and Nicobar Gazette, make such provisions not inconsistent with the provesions of this Regulation, as appear to him to be " necessary or expedient for removing the ¢ ifficulty:
Provided that no such order shall begnade after the expiry of a period of two years from the date of the commencement of this Re"ulation

36. On and from the date on which.this Regulation comes into force, the Weekly Holidays Act, 1942 shall, insofar as it is applicable to the shops and establishments situated in the Union territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is hereby repealed:
Provided that such repeal shall not affect—
(a) the previous operation of the said Act or anything duly done or suffered thereunder; or
(b) any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under the said Act; or
(c) any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence .committed under the said Act; or . {d) any investigation, legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such right, privilege, obligation, liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment as aforesaid; and any such investigation, legal proceeding or remedy may be instituted, continued or enforced and any such penalty, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed as if the said Act had not been repealed.
