Section 24: Constitution of District Road Safety Committee

बिहार सड़क सुरक्षा परिषद् नियमावली,2018.State Rules of Bihar · 1988

Every District Road Safety Committee shall consist of the following members, namely:-

(1) The District Collector- Chairman;

(2) The District Superintendent of Police – Member;

(3) Civil Surgeon – Member;

(4) Joint Commissioner- cum- Secretary, Regional Transport Authority – Member of the District Road Safety Committees of the Region;

(5) Additional District Magistrate, Disaster Management- Member;

(6) District Transport Officer- Member Secretary of the Committee;

(7) The Executive Engineer (Road Construction Department) - Member;

(8) The Executive Engineer (Rural Works Department) – Member;

(9) Respective of National Highways Authority of India -Member;

(10) The District Education Officer- Member;

(11) The District Public Relation Officer- Member;

(12) Executive Officer of Urban Local Bodies-Member;

(13) One expert in the field of road safety:-To be nominated by the Chairman of District Road Safety Committee;

(14) One representative of transport union to be nominated by Chairman of the District Road Safety Committee;

(15) One representative of NGOs of the district, working on Road Safety to be nominated by the Chairman of the District Road Safety Committee;
