(1) Different grades and chain of posts shall be according to Appendix-1.
(2) The members of this service may be posted and transferred any where under the Government.

3. Recruitment. — (1) The appointment in this service shall be made by direct recruitment to the basic grade (Dentist) posts on the basis of recommendations of the Commission
(2) For appointment in General Duty Sub-cadre, minimum educational qualification shall be B.D.S. degree from a recognized University. but Post- graduate or higher degree holders and work experience of Dentists engaged on contract basis in a government hospital of the state may be given weightage.
(3) For appointment in Specialists Sub-cadre, minimum educational qualification shall be M.D.S. degree from a recognized University. But higher degree holders and work experience of specialist Dentists engaged on contract basis in a government hospital of the state may be given weightage.
(4) For direct recruitment minimum age limit shall be 21 years and maximum age limit shall be the same as may be determined reservation categorywise by the government, from time to time. 1 August of the concerned year shall be deemed to be the cut off date for determination of age.
6. In case of unavailability of Dentist fit for appointment/promotion, the Dentist may be employed from outer sources on contract basis for a limited period by the Government, as is necessary and in public interest, on the posts mentioned in Appendix-1, for which employment procedure shall be determined by the Government.
