Section 13: Departmental Promotion Committee

Promotions may be considered on the basis of recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee. The structure of the Departmental Promotion Committee will be the same as may be determined by the Government for Service Departments, from time to time:

Provided that the meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee to consider promotion in the maximum grade – pay shall be presided over by the Chairman or any Member of the Commission.
