Section 5: The functions of the Chairperson of Authority

The Bihar Mental Healthcare (State Mental Health Authority) Regulations, 2023State Regulations of Bihar · 2017

(1) The Chairperson of the Bihar Authority shall discharge the functions of the State Authority, who shall be assisted by a Secretariat of the State Authority headed by the Chief Executive Officer:

Provided that the Chairperson may delegate all or any of his functions to the Chief Executive Officer.

(2) Important policy matters relating to the functioning of the Authority shall be placed before the Authority in its meeting.
