Section 2: Definitions

( 1 ) ln these rules, uniess the context other.wise requires. -

(a) "Act" means the Motor Transport workers Act, 1 961 (27 of 1 g61 );(b) "Form" means a Form appended to these rules;

(c) "lnspector" means an officer appo:nted under section i of the Act and includes a Chief lnspector;

(d) "schedule" rneans a schecii-rle annexed to these ruies;

(e) "Seciion" mea.ns a Section of the Act;

(f) "Undertaking" means a Motor Transport uncrertaking;

(g) "State Governrnent" mearis the Staie Gcvenrmer;t of Bihar.

(2) All other words and expressions used but not defined in these rules and defined in the Act shall have tlre meanings respedively assigneet to them in the Act.
