Section 9: Selection criteria for promotion

The Bihar Ophthalmic Assistants Joint Cadre (recruitment and service conditions) Rules, 2011.State Rules of Bihar · 2011

(1) The criteria of suitability of candidates for promotion under the cadre shall be the principle of “Seniority-cum-merit” for first and second promotion while the third and last promotion shall be on the principle of “Merit cum Seniority”

(2) The completion of qualifying period (kalavadhi) for promotion prescribed from time to time by the State government personal and Administrative Reforms (General Administration) Department shall be essential
