Section 10: Selection procedure

The proposals of promotions shall be considered by the departmental promotion committee which will be constituted as follows- A. For promotion to grade-III

1. Director- in Chief, Health services - Chairman

2. Under Secretary, General Administration Department - Member 10 �बहार गजट (असाधारण), 7 जून 2011

3. A member form Scheduled caster/Scheduled Tribes as nominated by the General Administration Department - Member

4. Ophthalmic advisor (Nominated by the State Government) - Member B. For promotion to grade- II

1. Secretary, Health Department - Chairman

2. Director-in-chief, Health services - Member

3. Dy. Secretary, General Administration Department - Member

4. A member form Scheduled caster/Scheduled Tribes as nominated by the General Administration Department - Member

5. Ophthalmic advisor (Nominated by the State Government) - Member C. For promotion to grade –I

1. Chairman/member, Bihar Public Service Commission - Chairman

2. A representative of General Administration Department not below the rank of joint Secretary - Member

3. A representative of the Finance Department (Not below the rank of Dy. Secretary) - Member

4. An officer of Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes (Not below the rank of Dy. Secretary nominated by the General Administration Department - Member

5. Director-in chief, Health services - Member
