(1) The appointing authority, after calculating vacancy on the basis of position as on 1 st April of the year and getting roster cleared, shall send reservation categorywise requisition to the Commission latest by 30 th April.
(2) General Duty Sub-cadre (Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist)- In the light of requisition, the Commission shall invite applications after advertising vacancies and prepare merit list on following basis:-
(a) For marks obtained in Bachelor in Physiotherapy/Bachelor in Occupational Therapy examination 50 marks
(b) For higher degree 10 marks
(c) For work experience in Government Hospitals of Bihar State (5 marks per year, maximum 25 marks) 25 marks
(d) For interview 15 marks ————— Total 100 marks ————— Note:— (i) The determination of marks to be given to a candidate for marks obtained in the Bachelor in Physiotherapy /Bachelor in Occupatioal therapy course examination shall be made by multiplying percentage of total marks obtained in the aforesaid courses examination by multiple of 0.5. For example, if a candidate has obtained 50% marks, he will be given 50%×0.5= 25 marks.
(ii) Minimum qualifying marks will be 30.
(3) Specialist Sub-cadre (Specialist Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist)-
(i) In the light of requisition, the Commission shall invite applications after advertising vacancies and prepare merit list on following basisa) For marks obtained in Masters in Physiotherapy/Masters in Occupational therapy Course Examination 50 marks b) For higher degree 10 marks c) For work experience by Postgraduate degree holders in Government hospitals of the state (5 marks per year, maximum 25 marks) 25 marks d) For interview 15 marks ————— Total 100 marks ————— Note: (i) The determination of marks to be given to a candidate for marks obtained in the Masters in Physiotherapy /Masters in Occupatioal therapy course examination shall be determined by multiplying percentage of total marks obtained in the aforesaid courses. For example, if a candidate has obtained 50% marks, he will be given 50%×0.5= 25 marks.
(ii) Minimum qualifying marks will be 30.
(4) Procedure for interview shall be determined by the Commission.
(5) After prepatation of merit list on the basis of sub-rule (2) and sub-rule (3) preliminary scrutiny of the certificates and medical check up shall be conducted by the commission with the cooperation of the Appointing Authority, and thereafter reservation categories wise final recommendation in accordance with the requisitioned vacancies shall be sent to the Appointing Authority. At the level of the Appointing Authority also, antecedents of candidates shall be caused to be verified after scrutiny of certificates.

(6) After recommendation of the Commission, compliance of instructions issued with respect to procedure of appointment by the Government from time to time, shall be necessary.
