Section 13: Prohibited articles

Bihar prevention of Beggary Rules, 1954State Rules of Bihar · 1952

(1) No person shall, except with the permission of the Superintendent, or the Medical Officer incharge of a Certified Home, Special Home or a Work House, carry a prohibited article into such institution.

(2) The following shall be deemed to be prohibited articles for the purposes of this Rule, namely :-

(i) alcohol and spirit of every description;

(ii) bhang, ganja and opium;

(iii) betel;

(iv) drugs of every description;

(v) matches and materials for producing fire;

(vi) implements of gambling;

(vii) any implements capable of causing hurt or facilitating escape;

(viii) snuff and tobacco;

(ix) any other articles specified in an order in this behalf by the Superintendent.
