(1) The Management of a Certified Home, Special Home or Work House, as the case may be, shall vest in a Managing Committee which shall be appointed by the State Government.
(2) A Managing Committee shall consist of the District magistrate who shall be the Chairman, the Sub-divisional Magistrate, one other official and four non-officials to be nominated by the State Government of whom one at least shall be a lady.
(3) In the absence of the District Magistrate, the Sub divisional Magistrate shall act as Chairman and in the absence of the Sub-divisional Magistrate, the members present at a meeting shall elect one of their members to preside over the meeting.
(4) Non-official members shall hold office for a period of one year from the date of appointment and for such further period, if any, as the State Government may, by general or special order,- direct in that behalf.
(5) The tenure of appointment of a non-official member may be terminated by the State Government at any time without assigning any reason.
(6) A non-official member shall be eligible for re-nomination on the expiry of his term of office.
(7) Any casual vacancy among the non-official members shall be filled by nomination of another non-official who shall hold office so long as the person in whose place he is nominated would have held office if the vacancy had not occurred.
(8) Non-official members shall not be entitled to any allowances for their visits to the Certified Home, Special Home or Work House as the case may be.
