The Examination Controller shall be appointed in such manner and on such terms and conditions of service, and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties, as may be prescribed by the statutes. However, the first Examination Controller shall be appointed by the Government and shall hold office for a term of three years or till the appointment of the Examination Controller, as prescribed by the statutes, whichever is earlier.
