Section 69: Maximum interval between supports

Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2023Central Regulations · 2003

All conductors shall be attached to supports at intervals not exceeding the safe limits based on the ultimate tensile strength of the conductor and the factor of safety specified under regulation 59:

Provided that in the case of overhead lines carrying conductors of voltage not exceeding 650 V when laid over, along or across any street, the interval shall not, without the consent in writing of the Electrical Inspector, exceed sixty five metre.
