Section 23: Detention of lunatics pending removal to asylum

When any reception order has been made under Sec. 7, 10, 14, or 15, the Magistrate may, for reasons to be recorded in writing, direct that the lunatic, pending his removal to an asylum, be detained in suitable custody in such place as the Magistrate thinks fit.
