Section 24: Reception and detention of criminal lunatics

An order under section 330 or sections 335 and 336 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. or under section 30 of the Prisoners Act, 1900 or under section 145 of the Army Act, 1950 (46 of 1950) , directing the reception of a criminal lunatic into any asylum which is prescribed for the reception of a criminal lunatic shall be sufficient authority for the reception and detention of any person named therein in such asylum or any other asylum to which he may be lawfully transferred.
