(1) No stage carrlage shall be halted ln an urban area on a notified bus stop fo!
more than five hinutes consecutj.vely for the taking up or setting clown of passeogels o! at any tlme during the course of a run except at a bus stand.
(2) The Dlstrict Maglstrate may dtrect that 1n an urban area, ln any street or any roacl notlfled by him in thls behau (the notlflcatloo made through the pubuc proclamatlon or In such other manne! as the Dlstrtct Magistrate may deem flt set) no stage carrlage shalt take up or set down passengers except at a place appointed by him at a bus stop or at a bus stand.
l3J No stage calriage shaLI be halted at a bus stop for longer than lt ls nedessary to take up such passengers as are waltlng when the vehlcle arrlves and to set down such passengeEs as wish to alight.
(4) If the run of any siage carrj.age starts or tinlshes th an urban area, lt shall, unless, the District Maglstrate spe.lally exempts the vehLcle from the provlslons of thls rule_\ begun from o! be ended at bus stand.
(5) Where a staqe carrtage ls exempted f.om the provlslons of the precedi.ng sub-ru.Ie. lt shaU be a condltion of the exemptlon that no passenger shau be taken up or set down, as the case may b€, at any point without a distance of 183 mettes or such other distance as may be named ln the order of exemptton from the place where the stage carriage is Earaged or parked at the start or finish of the run.
(6) In cxemptlnq a stage calrlage trom the provlsions oI sub-!u]e (4) the District Maglstrate may make tt a condltlon that the flrst passengers shaU be taken upr o! the last passegers be set down, at a partlcular bus stop flxed for the purpose in the order of exemptlor!.
(7) An order cf exemptlon made under sub-lule (4) shal] remaln tn force for one yea! or such lesser period as the Distrlct Maglstrate may direct and may be cancelled or moctlfied by hlm at hls dlscretlon at any time.
(8) A State Transport Authorlty may attach to a stage carrlage pernit, a condition that when the vehlcle ls not ln Lrse, it shall not be halted in any pubuc place excePt at a bus stand or at a parkinq place appolnted under rule 196 :
