Section 123: Suspension or cancellation of l icence

The Chhattisgarh Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1972State Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1952

(1) The l icensing authority may suspend or cancel any l icence granted under these rules for contravention of any of these rules, provided that the l icensing authority shall give the l icensee an opportunity to show cause before taking any action under this sub -rule.

(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of sub -rule (1), the cinema licence shall be l iable to immediate suspension or cancellation by the l icensing authority, if , in the opinion of the l icensing authority the appliances in the cinema for protection against for extinguishing fire are inadequate or in any way ins ufficient or in unsatisfactory condition.
