Section 15: Doors

The Chhattisgarh Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1972State Rules of Chhattisgarh · 1952

(1) All Doorways for the use of the public shall be at least four feet six inches wide in the clear. All doors shall open ou twards to l ie f inis with the outside of the wall .

(2) Nothing in sub-rule (1) shall apply to touring cinemas and premises duly l icensed for use of cinematograph exhibit ion before the coming into force of these rules, so long the minimum space for exits, i n accordance with the provisions of Rule 12 is provided or in such premises.

(3) All doors used by the public may be kept closed but not bolted during a performance or exhibi t ion, provided an attendant is placed in charge of each such door and he shall throw open the door in case of emergency.
