(1) No cinema shall be constructed underneath or on the top of any other building.
(2) No open space shall be allowed under the floor o f the auditorium.
(3) The floor, roof, private boxes, balconies, galleries, t iers, part i t ions, venti lat ions and every room, lobby, corridor , staircase and passage devoted to use of the public shall , subject to the provisions of the proviso to sub -rule(1) of Rule 8, be constructed of fire -resist ing materials. No wooden posts shall be allowed for the support of galleries and t iers.
(4) No soft wood or other inflammable wall l inings, part i t ions, screens or barriers shall be used in any part of the auditorium and no cavit ies shall be left behind any l inings.
(5) The fronts of private boxes and each t ier shall be formed of fire -proof materials, expect the capping of boxes which may be of wood.
(6) Nothing in this rule apply to premises duly l icensed in any pa rt of the State for use for cinematograph exhibit ion before the coming into force of these rules.
Provided that open spaces under the auditorium and stage in such premises, where they exists, shall not be rented or used as godowns but may be used for stor ing cinema implements, such as advertisements boards and trolleys, if they are properly arranged and taken care of .
