1633 '2: ._· "J)efinitions.- \
(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires1-~ ·µ»"'l ~ f-ffl.5'f'& m- (• t
(a) "Act" means the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural ·-Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (No. 42 of 2005);
(2)
(b) "Appellate Authority" means the District Programme Co-ordinator/Collector and any other officer as specified in sub-rule ('.2) and (3) of rule 7 of these rules;
(c) "Additional District Programme Co-ordinator" means the Chief Executive Officer of the concerned Zila Panchayat;
(d) · "District Programme Co-ordinator" means concerned District Collector;
(e) "Programme Officer" means the programme officer of Janpad Panchayat.
------The words and expressions used and not define<;l in these rules, but defined in the Act, shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act.
3. Eligibility for unemploymeht allowance.- If an applicant is not provided employment under the scheme, as defined under claus) (p) of rule 2 of the Act, within 15 days of receipt of his/her application or, in case of advancl:! application in' which the date has been specified from which the employment has been sought, from the date that employment has been sought, whichever is later, then under this rule, he/she shall be entitled to a daily unemployment allowance from the 16th day till he/she is provided such employment.
