Section 24: Cognizance of offences

The Chhattisgarh Vishesh Sashastra Bal Adhiniyam, 1968.State Act of Chhattisgarh · Act 29 of 1968

(1) No Court shall take cognizance of an offence under this Act except with the previous sanction or on the complaint of the Inspector- General or any other Police Officer (not below the rank of Commandant [or Deputy Commandant]) authorised by him in this behalf.

(2) No Court inferior to that Magistrate of the First Class shall try any offence under this Act.
