Section 16: Erroneous promotion

Coast Guard (Seniority and Promotion) Rules,1987Central Rules · 1978

If it is discovered that an officer has been promoted wrongly (for example he was not fully qualified when promoted) the promotion may be cancelled. Excess payments made for the period of erroneous promotion shall be recovered.
