In the event of enrolled personnel not being able to undergo departmental examination due to exigencies of service, the Departmental Promotion Committee may recommend promotion of such enrolled personnel on provisional basis provided they are fully eligible otherwise and qualify such departmental examinations at the earliest opportunity. Such enrolled personnel may be liable for reversion to their former rank in case they fail to qualify in the departmental examination.
