The Global Open University (Nagaland) Act, 2006State Act of Nagaland · Act 3 of 2006

(1) There shall be awhole time Registrar forthe University.

(2) The Registrar shall be appointed by the Vice Chancellor from our of three persons empaneued by the Executive Council which shall not indicate any order of preference and leave the selection solely to the independent judgement of thevice Chancellor.

(3) In case emergent circumstances where the appointment of a Registrar on the basis of apanel prepared by the Executive Council is not possible for any reason, thevice Chancellor, until an appointment is made in accordance with that procedure, may appoint a suitable personlofficer of the University to function as Registm for aperiod not exceeding one year.

(4) The Registrar shall not hold afice beyond the age of 62 years.
