(1) The following shall be the members of the Academic Council:
(i) The Vice Chancellor shall be the ex officio Chairman,
(ii) The senior most DeaniHead of Department'Faculty ofthe University as the ex officio Vice Chairman;
[ii) "The Director in-charge of the operations in Nagaland shall be an ex ofiicio member;
(iv) Four professors of the University to be nominated by the Vice Chancellor who shall be ex officio members:
(v) The Finance Officers shall be an ex officio members and
(vi) Four external experts to be nominated by the Pro Chancellor who shall be members;
(vii) The D e d e a d of DepartmentIFaculty concerned with the subject matter under discussion shall be coopted as member; and
(viii) The Registrar shall be the ex officio Secretary.
(2) The term oftheAcademic Council shall run simultaneously with the Governing Council.
(3) An ex oficio member when ceases to hold the office by virtue of which he became an ex oficio member, shall cease to be a member oftheAcademic Council.
(4) The hominating authorities shall have aright to replace their nominees to the Council at any point of time.
(5) Casual vacancies arising in the Council before its reconstitution shall be filled for the unexpired term.
